Description
Searchable database of enforcement information that includes data on specific facilities with violations, enforcement actions, and penalties. Provides very detailed information about violating facilities as well as information on the communities near the facility.

How do I use this resource?
Functions are accessed through a menu (on the left of the screen). In the Quick Search tool, you can enter either a specific location (city or zip code), or a facility and retrieve detailed information about violations, enforcements, and penalties. Use "Analyze Trends" to look at trends over time for a number of fields such as violations, enforcement actions, and penalties. You can also look at trends in emissions and ambient air quality using the "ECHO Clean Air Tracking Tool"
You can use the "Find EPA Cases" to look for information on formal legal actions.
Use the "Data Services" function to download a wide variety of data on facilities, including community and demographic information for populations around a facility, air emissions, and violations for other regulated media.

The website includes an ECHO tool guide which can be helpful in navigating the at times complex set of data. There is also a data export functionality found in the "Data Services" section. In addition to providing the compliance and enforcement data, there are also helpful files providing community and demographic data for populations located around facilities. There is also air emissions data for each facility.
