Louisiana Emissions Reporting and Inventory Center

Featured resource badge

Description

Web interface providing tools for downloading actual and permitted emissions for either release points (facilities) within a defined radius, or summarized by parish. Downloadable data also includes detailed information about individual sources, including release parameters, e.g. flow rates, release heights, etc. Users can also download a point source emissions inventory for years 1991-2025.

Questions this resource can help answer

  1. What are the emissions from different individual sources or source categories?
  2. What are the emissions in an individual parish?
  3. What are the trends in annual emissions for sources or locations over time?

How do I use this resource?

Emissions inventory reports can be generated for specific pollutants in two ways: 1) Use the "Radius Search" function to Identify a lat/long and a buffer radius to obtain emissions for each release point within the buffer, 2) Identify a pollutant and obtain aggregate emissions within each parish. In each case, you can download actual or permitted emissions, or both. You can also download prepared emissions inventory data files for multiple years.

Pro tips

To produce a report that covers all of the sources in Louisiana, you can use the generally recognized geographic center at Marksville (30.9683, -92.5367) and a radius of 500 km.

Detailed emissions obtained through "radius search" or "emissions by parish" are available for 2020-2025. Prepared emissions inventory data is available for 1991-2025.
