NASA’s TEMPO (Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution) project page at the Atmospheric Science Data Center provides access to data and documentation for the TEMPO instrument, a UV–visible grating spectrometer in geostationary orbit that measures key air pollutants over North America. From its fixed position above 91°W, TEMPO scans the continent hourly during daylight, using reflected sunlight to retrieve ozone, nitrogen dioxide, formaldehyde, aerosols, and related atmospheric constituents that are critical for understanding air quality and its impacts. The site offers mission descriptions, data product access (Level 1–3), user guides, and algorithm documents to support research, forecasting, and applications in health and environmental management.

NASA’s Land, Atmosphere Near-real-time Capability for EOS (LANCE) leverages existing satellite data processing systems in order to provide data and imagery available from select instruments (currently AIRS, AMSR2, ISS LIS, MISR, MLS, MODIS, MOPITT, OMI, OMPS, and VIIRS). Most data products are available within 3 hours of satellite observation. These data meet the timely needs of applications such as numerical weather and climate prediction, forecasting and monitoring natural hazards, agriculture, air quality and disaster relief.

Estimate of surface-level nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations for the continental US at ~ 1km × 1km derived from TROPOMI data from a land-use regression model. The development of this dataset is documented in a manuscript in ES&T Air by Nawaz et al. and was originally developed for a time period of 2019-2022. This dataset estimates surface-level NO2 by combining satellite derived data (TROPOMI) with OpenStreetMaps and Google Earth Engine land-use information and ERA5 meteorology reanalysis data.
