Resource Type: Report
Blog post providing descriptions of five different approaches being taken by cities around the world to reduce emissions and exposures to air pollution.
"Action taken by all cities, of every size and in every country, will play a part in securing a climate-safe future. The C40 Knowledge Hub exists to help cities succeed by making the knowledge, experience and advice of those toward the head of the curve accessible to all. We cover everything you should know about tried-and-tested solutions and emerging ideas – making sense of what they are, how to deliver them, and leading examples – to offer a breadth and depth across urban climate sectors that you cannot find elsewhere."
The air quality trends summaries are intended to reflect actual air quality and therefore include concentrations that may have been impacted by episodic events like wildfires and dust storms.
This open collection is designed to support and enhance global research initiatives focused on understanding and mitigating the health impacts of environmental exposures.
AP-42, Compilation of Air Pollutant Emissions Factors from Stationary Sources, has been published since 1972 as the primary compilation of EPA's emissions factor information. It contains emissions factors and process information for more than 200 air pollution source categories. A source category is a specific industry sector or group of similar emitting sources. The emissions factors have been developed and compiled from source test data, material balance studies, and engineering estimates. The latest emissions factors are available below on this website. Use the AP-42 Chapter webpage links below to access the document by chapter. Emission factors are being updated as data are received and evaluated.
