From the EPA website: "The Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID) is a comprehensive source of data from EPA's Clean Air Power Sector Programs on the environmental characteristics of almost all electric power generated in the United States.
The data includes emissions, emission rates, generation, heat input, resource mix, and many other attributes. eGRID is typically used for greenhouse gas registries and inventories, carbon footprints for electricity purchases, consumer information disclosure, emission inventories and standards, power market changes, and avoided emission estimates."
VERDI is a Java program for visualizing meteorology, emissions, and air quality modeling data. With options for overlaying GIS Shapefiles and observational data onto model output, VERDI offers a range of options for viewing atmospheric modeling data. VERDI scripting provides a powerful interface for automating the production of graphics for analyzing your data.
WRF-Chem is the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model coupled with Chemistry. The development of WRF-Chem has been a collaborative effort among the community, led by NOAA GSL. For more detail see the official WRF-Chem webpage (not reachable as of October 1, 2024).

In collaboration with the EPA, CMAS is developing a suite of local-scale air quality screening tools called C-TOOLS (Community Air Quality Tools). These tools predict concentrations of multiple primary pollutants that are directly emitted (CO, SO2, NOx, PM2.5) and select Mobile Source Air Toxics (benzene, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and acrolein) at fine spatial scales in the near-source environment.
